What are Bladder Problems?
A bladder problem is a medical condition
that prevents you from being able to control when you pass
urine, characterised by one or more of the following symptoms:
• A frequent need to pass urine (8 times or more during a 24-hour period)
• A strong, sudden urge to pass urine
• Waking up to pass urine (2 or more times a night)
• Wetting yourself (small or large amounts)
If you live with bladder problems, you are not alone. Millions of men and women of all ages also share these problems.

There are 3 major types. Each has a different cause and exhibits different symptoms.
In order to get the appropriate medical treatment, it is important to identify which type you have. You can use the Symptom Questionnaire in our Resources section to help you find out.
